The U.S. used to be the Great Melting Pot of the world. It used to be the place where people of
ALL nations came to get a piece of the American Dream, to carve out a piece of history for themselves
and their children, and to become:
One Nation, Under (Insert Your Higher Power Here), With Liberty and Justice For All!!!
That's the 'America' I grew up in.
In my neighborhood (and while I understand not everyone grew up in my neighborhood and some places were not and still are not the nicest to live in) growing up, and in all the places I have lived so far in my life until the current NEVER ONCE were people judged based solely on the color of their skin, their political affiliations, their sexual preference or orientation, or any other discriminatory agent. And if they were, it did not happen enough to be obvious and garner a lot of attention.
When I was an adolescent and into early adulthood, the news was based on facts, not some version of fiction manipulated, misrepresented, and fed back to the American people to make them believe that the contrived, contorted, a cacophony of lies was actually the truth.
- Did crime still happen? YES!
- Was racial profiling a thing? Yes!
- Did you hear older Americans with a darker skin tone talk about somebody owing them something, or screaming from the top of their lungs for reparations or how unfair life was to them?
The answer to that is unaquivically NO!!!
You heard them talking about working hard, getting kids off the streets, giving back to their
communities, raising their families, respecting authority even when they did not respect you, and being
100% straight up every single day, regardless of anything else going on around you.
Folks still got harassed by the police, regardless of what shade of human your skin was. But
people knew that if you kept on the straight path you were less likely to have a run-in with a police officer that was too big for his britches, having a power struggle with themselves, or just in a plain old, ugly mood that day.
You had people of all color and from all walks of life living in the same community, looking out
for each other, not robbing each other, or shooting each other, or reporting one another for taking their
kids to the park during a pandemic. You had a community of people who encouraged each other,
built each other up, made sure the neighborhood kids knew what respect was and showed it, and
understood the meaning of "selfless service" and that it was the only thing in the world that could
spread happiness faster than a viral infection.
But, not today!!! Nope, now we have a country of people who feel they have been
wronged because they were not born with a silver spoon in their mouths, or they were born the wrong color, or the wrong biological sex!!! Today, people have to much time on their hands and not enough to do or they don't care about making sure their own house is in order.
No, today people are filling their time with tearing other people down, making sure they get theirs before anyone else does, they destroy lives just because it's the thing to do, they enjoy airing their dirty laundry out in public, and they have no problem making other people's business their own.
Today we live in a world where a neighbor calls the cops on you for taking your own children to the park.
Today we are fused to mobile devices and have forgotten how to actually interact with other human beings face to face.
We have stopped serving other human beings and live only to serve ourselves. Let me be clear I am not saying 'serve' as in being a slave, servant, maid, butler, or anything else along those lines. I am talking about doing something good for someone else just because it would make them happy, completely for selfless reasons, without expecting to get anything in return.
We live in a time where freedom of speech no longer exists. Where if you say the wrong thing about whatever group has taken control of the government (if even temporarily) your life could be threatened, or worse.
When did it become ok for the "oppressed" to become the OPPRESSORS?
These people who say they have been oppressed, regardless of what group they belong too, have forced their will so hard on others that they are now doing to the rest of us what they feel has been done to them. So much for inclusion or equality. The problem is, that it has never been about equality.
Not even a little bit, today we are already living in a dystopian society in America. The types of dystopian control are:
The future of America is bleak and if you value your freedom (or what's left of it) and being able to live you life on your terms, then it would be within reason to think that maybe finding some quiet place in the country away from the cities would be a good idea. If you don't want to end up in a FEMA camp, you probably ought to get yourself some supplies and make a plan, because the downfall of America is already upon us, and unless we do something about it, we are going to lose everything that the first settlers and the brave men who signed the Declaration of Independence fought for.
Wow, you are so right. It is hard to see how bent our society has become leaning one direction. We are verging on the point of near breakage. It is a scary thought but one we all really need to think about.
